Agostino Renna started his new role this week

GE Lighting has promoted Agostino Renna to the role of president and CEO of the EMEA region.

Effective from 2 January, Renna succeeds Phil Marshall who has held the position since 2008. The company said Marshall left GE Lighting to pursue another post.

Renna previously held the position of vice president, growth and marketing strategy for GE Canada. Before joining GE, he spent 14 years at Johnson Controls, where his leadership roles in sales, marketing, strategy and general management resulted in him becoming responsible for Johnson Controls’ Energy Solutions division for EMEA.

The new CEO for EMEA will report to GE Lighting president and CEO Maryrose Sylvester. Maryrose Sylvester said: “Agostino Renna’s experience, leadership and significant sales and marketing background make him an outstanding person to continue the transformation of the lighting business in the region.”
